The design of the Onoto Magna Classic is based on one of the most famous fountain pens ever made - the Onoto Magna of 1937, which some have dubbed 'the best fountain pen ever made'.

Onoto pens are on occasion designed to commemorate influential historical persons, institutions and other circumstances where a special pen would pay the perfect homage.

The Osler commemorates the 'father of modern medicine', Sir William Osler who was one of the founding professors of Johns Hopkins Hospital and Regius Chair of Medicine, Oxford. This is a special edition, limited to just 70.

Made from high density black acrylic, this is a satisfyingly robust pen, with sterling silver trim in the form of 3 cap bands and a pocket clip inscribed with a chevron pattern and the Onoto logo. The cap button features the Osler crest and Sir William's signature is engraved in the cap band.

Fitted with an 18 carat gold Onoto size 7 nib, available in a range of sizes. Refill with widely-available standard pattern ink cartridges, or fit a converter (supplied with the pen) to use bottled ink.
